Remetj, Shemsu, Shemsu-ankh
These are the three different forms of membership within kemetic orthodoxy, excluding the two types of priesthood, which are covered in the "Priesthood & Nisuts" section. Keep in mind that these groups are equal, none is "better" than the other. Remetj receive as much respect as shemsu, and so on.
Remetj Anyone who completes the beginner's class is a remetj. That means that you're a citizen of Kemet, "one of the people," but not a full follower of the faith. Instead, you're more of a friend of the faith. This means no commitment on your behalf, you can pursue any other faith without worry. You may go through the ritual which'll tell you of your spiritual pedigree at this stage.
Shemsu As a shemsu, you've gone through the ritual of parent divination, and chosen to commit yourself to Their service. Strictly speaking, you're a follower. You make vows, and you receive a kemetic name of your very own. You can still practice any religion you wish on the side, though, so don't worry about that.
Shemsu-ankh These are the sworn followers, who have taken further vows to commit more deeply to Netjer, the Nisut (AUS) and our community. They are our princes and princesses, more or less (in spirit, not in a biological sense, obviously). You go through special rites at Wep Ronpet (new years) for this. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's still alright to practice another faith at this stage, but perhaps not as clergy.
